Hey tigerlily from Speedheaven!

Walmart was CONVICTED in a Federal court for cheating low level workers out of pay. The former VP of Walmart is likely going to end up in a Federal prison, another former Walmart top executive is using the rights from the whistleblower protection act to tell what corruption is likely going on at Walmart. One of the plantiffs in the ongoing Walmart sexual discrimination(the largest in history) is a former Walmart supercenter female store manager who says in court documents she was pressured to do threesomes with a prostitute and an upper Walmart executive while returning from staff meetings held at HOOTERS.

Having said all that, ask ms v. rice from bangor maine about how Walmart collected on a dead peasant insurance policy on her late husband who was a Walmart assistant manager in a New Hampshire store until he died carrying out a large TV when there was no help in the store.

Thats my opinion of the character of Walmart.
Smile

By John Barry, Enterprise correspondent and Jean Porrazzo, Enterprise staff writer
AVON If ever a family needed more room in their house, it's the Lynches of Avon.

But a nearby Wal-Mart manager said they could not hook their home up to that store's sewer connection with Brockton so they could try to enlarge their modest two-bedroom ranch, Christopher Lynch, the father, said.

All of Maine reminds me of Brockton. Longtime Brockton residents said the community was destroyed by out of staters( ie 3rd word immigrants)who moved into brockton during the past 40 years and turned it into a nightmare.

The truth is when Brockton was 99%white, the place was a nightmare. The 3rd world immigrants gave Brocktonians someone to blame. Sounds like Maine to me with Mainers blaming flatlanders for all Maine's troubles. Maine was nice then the flatlanders moved in...right.

there is not enough space on the internet to list all of Walmart's immoral character and business practises

ex-store manager of a Wal-Mart in Bluffton:

Melissa Howard hated the trips to Hooters for Wal-Mart management meetings. But the strip clubs were even worse, she said.

While the store manager of a Wal-Mart in Bluffton, Howard traveled to the company's headquarters in Bentonville, Ark., in March 2000 to meet with management.

During the long drive to Bentonville with other Wal-Mart managers, who were all men, she was pressured to go to three strip clubs, Howard claims in her lawsuit. At one point during a show, Howard alleges, her district manager proposed that he pay a stripper $50 to have a "threesome out back."........

Maine legislators did give Welfaremart $24million dollars in taxpayer breaks. That means Maine will take $25 from every Maine worker's paycheck(via taxes) and give it to Walmart. I know,i know, thats a little too abstract for the typical Mainer to comprehend.
